Angela Himsel will read from her memoir, ''A River Could be a Tree'', which describes her childhood growing up the seventh of eleven children in rural Indiana in a fundamentalist, doomsday Christian faith.
Trying to strengthen her beliefs, Himsel enrolled in The Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Instead of reaffirmation of what she’d been taught, she was introduced to an entirely different world of people and perspectives.
Himsel’s memoir chronicles her unlikely journey to Judaism.
