סטודיו אדיש הוא מותג אופנה ישראלי-פלסטיני שמנסה לשלב מלאכה ותרבות מהמזרח התיכון עם דגמים עכשוויים. בשיתוף פעולה עם 50 נשים פלסטיניות וסדנאות רבות בישראל ובפלסטין, משלב הסטודיו בבגדיו רקמה פלסטינית בעבודת יד. החזון המרכזי של הסטודיו הוא העצמה, פיתוח וחיבור בין הקבוצות התרבותיות השונות הקיימות באזור, באמצעות שיתופי פעולה בין טכניקות המלאכה המסורתיות השונות ושילובן בתוך תעשיית האופנה הגלובלית.
במהלך השיחה, מייסדי אדיש ירחיבו אודות החזון המשותף שהוביל אותם להקמת המותג, על הקשיים הטכניים והאידאולוגיים של העבודה בישראל ובפלסטין יחד, ועל הטכניקות בהן נעשה שימוש בתהליך יצור הבגדים.
האירוע הינו חלק מסדרת האירועים "סלונים ומטבחונים", המתקיימת בהשראת "הים שלנוכח עינינו" תערוכת היחיד של ג'ורדן נסאר במרכז לאמנות עכשווית תל אביב.

ADISH – working together in Israel and Palestine

ADISH is a Israeli-Palestinian fashion brand which seeks to merge the crafts and culture of the Middle East with contemporary silhouettes. Their clothes combine hand-sewn Palestinian embroidery working with a team of more than 50 Palestinian craftswomen and numerous workshops throughout Palestine and Israel. Their central vision is to empower, develop and connect between the different cultural groups of the region through collaborative efforts and the introduction of each culture’s traditional craft techniques into the global fashion industry.
During the talk, ADISH founders will elaborate on their shared vision that led them to establish the brand, the technical and ideological difficulties of working in both Israel and Palestine and the techniques that are being used in the clothing production processes.
This event is part of the series “Salons and Kitchenettes,” inspired by “The Sea Beneath Our Eyes,” Jordan Nassar’s solo exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art Tel Aviv.

The talk will be held in English.
