אנו מתנצלים, בעקבות תקלה בחברת הסליקה לא ניתן לבצע תשלום כעת. עמכם הסליחה

We are pleased and excited to invite you to a 3-day seminar with Dr Yu and Michael Fitzgerald in Israel in November 13-15 2019.

When:

Wednesday 13/11/19 - 11:00-19:00

Thursday 14/11/19 - 10:00-18:00

Friday 15/11/19 - 10:00 - 17:00

Rumor has it that as he was browsing a local bookshop in China, Andy Ellis came upon a small book that lead to a fascinating international project going on until today. The book described discussions between the senior Dr Yu Guo Jun and his students, all Dr’s in their own right, regarding interesting clinical cases from the Leshan Hospital.

What caught the eye and the heart were the clarity, simplicity and yet the depth in which the cases were detailed. Based on the classics such as the Shang Han Lun, Nan Jing, Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing, Nei Jing and other pre modern texts, together with the vast knowledge from his own teacher Dr Jiang, the theoretical descriptions Dr Yu Provides are deeply rooted in his clinical experience.

The chance encounter with the book, and later with the author himself, led to a fruitful collaboration and to two wonderful books in English called “A walk along the river”. These books allow us, students of Chinese Medicine in the West, a chance to learn from a Dr who is part of a medical lineage and a glimpse into the tradition of oral transmission of information from a Dr to his students. And on the way, we gain invaluable and useful clinical knowledge.

Dr Yu is extremely generous with his information, quoting endlessly from the classics, patient with questions and a wonderful lecturer. His interaction with Michael allows for a unique learning experience and a rare chance to study from and with one of China's greatest doctors today.

The lecture will be in Chinese with English translation

The program:

Wednesday 13/11/19 - 11:00-19:00

Pediatric illnesses

Dr Yu’s experience in the treatment of pediatric illnesses including Cough, Chronic Rhinitis, Night Sweat, Eczema, Oral Ulcer, Anorexia, Diarrhea, Enuresis and Other Common and Frequent Diseases Based on Syndrome Differentiation and Syndrome Correspondence, from complexity to simple and clear understanding.

Thursday 14/11/19 - 10:00-18:00

From Simple to Complex

The skills of differential diagnosis are at the core of any good physician’s treatment. Nevertheless, through decades of clinical research and experience Dr. Yu has found that there are some conditions that, because the pattern is very widespread, respond very well to particular formulas. Dr. Yu will discuss 10 different conditions, and the formula that works most consistently in treating them. These formulas are the essence of his decades long work in the clinic. Conditions include Acne, Type II diabetes, menopause and more.

Friday 15/11/19 - 10:00-17:00

Ministerial Fire

Dr. Yu’s lecture will clarify some of the more mysterious notions of Ministerial Fire by comparing different perspectives and the various approaches to treatment throughout history. Discussing these ideas further, Dr. Yu will clarify the unifying theme that Ministerial Fire is deficiency fire and explore common clinical manifestations of its pathology while providing formulas that he has found to be particularly useful in its treatment.

About the teachers:

Dr Yu Guo Jun:

Dr Yu was born in Sichuan in 1946. He began his studies in finance and economics but at the time of the Cultural Revolution, was sent to the countryside and learned Chinese Medicine the traditional way – as an apprentice. He studied medicine from the well-known Dr Jian Yu-Guang, himself a disciple of the famous master of classical formulas, Dr Jiang Er-Xun, with whom he later completed his studies. Dr Yu began working at the Leshan Hospital (where he continues today) and eventually took over Dr Jiang’s advanced teaching seminars.

Michael Fitzgerald:

Michael is a graduate of the bilingual program at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. He spent many years in Taiwan and in Beijing, furthering his studies in Chinese medicine, especially in the fields of Gynecology, Dermatology, Digestive Disorders and Cardiology. He works and teaches in Berkeley California.
