Mikva the Musical - Music and Monologues from the Deep

BY WOMEN FOR WOMEN Mikva the Musical, a unique new theater experience, is composed of authentic stories by real women, presented by accomplished actresses, and with songs using original lyrics to beloved melodies.* It is compelling storytelling filled with honesty, heart, laughter and tears, an eye-opening and transformational evening of boutique theater, with situations enacted through vivid performances of incredible sensitivity. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to give a voice to these stories, and to develop awareness and insight into the joys of mikva, and to the challenges that some women face. We are proud that our cast and crew spans a wide range of religious lifestyles, united through stories, music and mikva. They are: *The internationally acclaimed Adina Feldman (lead singer, choreographer, vocal/musical director and more), of Har Adar, *Riva Schertzman (musical director and accompanist, who studied composition under opera composer Leonard Kastle), of Beitar Illit, *Yael Valier (veteran actress-singer and director of the theater group "Theater and Theology") , of Efrat, *Malka Abrahams (British actress who appeared on the West End of London, and in Israeli plays and TV spots, and director, most recently, of "I Never Saw Another Butterfly"), of Jerusalem. *Sarah Landman (actress-singer, mikva attendant/halachic adivisor on the laws of mikva), of Elazar, and *Michele Thaler (actress, public speaker and writer), of Jerusalem. Myra Gutterman, co-producer/editor (Jerusalem) and Toby Klein Greenwald, co-producer/director/editor (Efrat).
