נעם בן-יוסף, אוצרת בכירה באגף לאמנות ותרבות יהודית של מוזיאון ישראל בירושלים, בשיחה על רקמה ולבוש פלסטינאים מתוך אוסף המוזיאון. במהלך השיחה בן-יוסף תציג מבחר דוגמאות של רקמה ולבוש פלסטינאים ודרוזים מראשית המאה ה-20, בעיקר של נשים ומעט של גברים, ותרחיב אודות החלוקה לפי אזורים וסגנונות שונים. האירוע ייפתח בהקדמה קצרה מאת שחר אטואן אודות "הים שלנוכח עינינו", תערוכת היחיד של ג'ורדן נסאר המוצגת בימים אלו במרכז לאמנות עכשווית

Wednesday, November 6 at 8 pm
Noam Ben-Yosef, a curator in the Wing for Jewish Art and Life at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, in a talk about Palestinian embroidery and garments from the museum’s collection. During the talk, Ben-Yosef will present various examples of Palestinian and Druze embroidery and garments from the beginning of the 20th century, mostly by women and few of men, and elaborate on their variations by region and style. This event is part of the series “Salons and Kitchenettes”, inspired by Jordan Nassar’s exhibition “The Sea Beneath Our Eyes,” and it will be opened with a short introduction by Shachar Atwan
The talk will be held in Hebrew
