מעבדת שבת: סיפורים של חפצים

בהשראת ״הים שלנוכח עינינו״, תערוכתו של האמן ג׳ורדן נסאר המציג בימים אלה במרכז לאמנות עכשווית תל אביב, סדנאות מעבדת שבת הבאות יעסקו בקשר שבין חפצים, מלאכה, מסורות וסיפורים.
בתחילה נבקר בתערוכה שנמצאת בקומת הביניים של המרכז ונראה כיצד הפך האמן את חלל התצוגה לחלל דמוי דירת מגורים, אותו בנה בעזרת חפצים, חומרים וקישוטים שנוצרו כולם על ידי בעלי מלאכה מקומיים. הילדים יחקרו את התערוכה וינסו לפענח מהם מקורות החפצים, מהן טכניקות היצירה שלהם, ובנוסף מהם הסיפורים שהחפצים מספרים לנו ללא מילים. בהמשך נעבור למקלט לאמנות עכשווית, שם נצפה ביצירות נוספות של אמניות ואמנים שעושים בעבודתם שימוש בחפצים ובהקשרים התרבותיים שלהם. לבסוף נעבור לפעילות המעשית, בה בהשראת חפצים שונים ומשונים ימציאו הילדים סיפורים דמיוניים וייצרו ספרונים מאוירים.

Saturday Lab Kids Workshop: Tales of Objects

Inspired by “The Sea Beneath Our Eyes,” Jordan Nassar’s exhibition at CCA Tel Aviv, the upcoming session of the Saturday Lab Kids Workshop will focus on the relations between objects, craftsmanship, traditions, and stories.
First, we will visit the exhibition and examine the ways in which the artist transformed the gallery into a domestic-feeling space, which he built using various objects, materials and decorations, all created by local craftspeople. The kids will explore the exhibition and discover the materials and techniques with which the objects were made and the unspoken stories they carry within them. Then, we will move to the Shelter for Contemporary Art, where we will view more artworks by other artists who use objects and their cultural contexts in their practice. Finally, we will continue with hands-on activities that include inventing stories about various objects and drawing booklets.
