התוכנית "out-of-office" בניהולו של גיא ברנרד רייכמן, אמן ומנהל המשרד של CCA תל אביב-יפו, יחד עם מונא בנימין, אמנית ומנהלת התוכן במרכז, היא סדרת אירועים שמתקיימת בגלריה הרב־התכליתית ע"ש מארק שימל. תוך התמקדות במדיומים מבוססי זמן כמו וידיאו, סאונד, מחול ופרפורמנס, ובהתאם לרוח הרב־תחומית של המרכז, "o-o-o" שואף לחזק ולטפח את הסצינה האמנותית המקומית.

תוכנית ההכרעה (פעולה מספר 13) הוא מופע לדמויות דיגיטליות ובני אדם, אשר יצליב שני נרטיבים מקבילים, נרטיב ראשון יהיה סביב תוכנית ההכרעה, מסמך שפרסם בשנת 2017 חבר הכנסת דאז ושר האוצר בהווה בצלאל סמוטריץ', ושוטח את התוכנית שלו להכרעת הסכסוך בין ישראל לפלסטינים: חזון לפיו צד אחד יוותר על השאיפות הלאומיות שלו (פלסטין), וצד שני ישלוט בכל השטח – במדינה אחת (ישראל). הנרטיב השני יהדהד את סיפור עקידת יצחק דרך פעולות בימתיות שונות המבוצעות חי בידי פרפורמרים.

את המסמך עצמו יקריאו דמויות וירטואליות, ששימושן נפוץ בעיקר במצגות ומערכי שיעור ואשר באמצעות טכנולוגיה של אינטליגנציה מלאכותית הן מעבדות את הטקסט ומבצעות אותו. הבעת הפנים הקהה והטון המונוטוני האופיינים לדמויות אלה, הופכות את הפרזנטציה למנוכרת ונטולת קול ועמדה אישיים ובכך מנכיחות את העדר ההתייחסות לגורם האנושי בסכסוך.

הפרפורמרים הוזמנו כדי לחולל תגובות נגד לדמויות הגנריות ולטקסט המופיע על המסך ולהחזיר את הגורם האנושי והאישי למרחב הפוליטי של המופע. הנוכחות האנושית באה לדרוש חזרה את הכוח והסמכות – וכן את האחריות לעצמנו ולעולם – מאותן מכונות שלכאורה פותרות עבורנו הכל.

בעידן שבו טכנולוגית כתיבה מבוססת בינה מלאכותית הולכת ותופסת תאוצה, מתחדדת השאלה בדבר מקומו של הכותב בתוך המרחב, האם עדיין שמור לו מקום אוטורטיבי או שהוא רק עוד פרט במסד נתונים? וכן מה בין אובדן צלם אנוש והאנשה של טכנולוגיות?

תוכנית ההכרעה (פעולה מספר 13) הופק במסגרת תגובה נגדית של קרן תמיכת מפעל הפיס, וקרן יהושע רבינוביץ לאמנויות.

Led by artist and CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Office Manager Guy Bernard Reichmann, alongside artist and Content Manager Mona Benyamin, “out-of-office” is a series of events to be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as video, dance, and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived as a way to nurture the domestic scene.

The Decision Plan (action number 13) is a performance for virtual characters and human actors, which will present a hybrid of two parallel narratives. The first narrative is centered around the Decision Plan, a document published in 2017 by then-MK and current Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotritch, outlining his plan for the resolution of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians: a vision where one side will forsake its national aspirations (Palestine), and the other side will have control over all the territory – in one state (Israel). The second narrative echoes the story of the Binding of Isaac through various theatrical actions performed live by performers.

The document itself will be read by virtual characters, who are mainly employed in presentations and educational systems, who process and perform it using AI technology. The subtle facial expressions and monotonous tone of these characters make the presentation alienating and devoid of any personal elements, thus emphasizing the absence of any regard for the human aspect in the conflict.

The performers were invited to generate reactions against the generic characters and the text displayed on the screen, and to reintroduce the human and personal element into the political space of the performance. Human presence comes to demand the restoration of power and authority – as well as responsibility for ourselves and the world – from those machines that seemingly solve everything for us.

In an era where AI-based writing technology is advancing and accelerating, the question arises about the author’s place within the space – is he still is a figure of authority or yet another detail in a database? And what happens in between the loss of humanity and the personification of technologies?

The Decision Plan (action number 13) was created as part of the Backlash program by Mifal HaPais and with the support of the Yehoshua Rabinovitch Foundation for the Arts, Tel Aviv.
