September is a great month for migration as birds start to push south from their breeding grounds in Europe and Asia, on their way to wintering grounds in Africa. One never knows what one will find!

This month's walk :

5/9/25 Migrating Raptors in the Jerusalem Hills.

Location: Park Begin (meeting at the Mevo Beitar Gas station)
7:00 - 10:00
The forests surrounding this park are often used as a nightly roost for migrating European Honey Buzzards and other raptors. In addition to enjoying the resident birds, we hope to see the morning flight of the raptors as they rise up from the trees and start their day.


No experience is necessary!

Cost of walks: Free to members of the English Bird Club
All others welcome - cost 70 nis per walk.
SPNI members 60 nis per walk.
