Birding the Amazing Beit Shean Valley

In the right place, at the right time – November is one of the best months for birdwatching , and the best place to witness the variety and quantity of resident and migranting birds is the Valley of the Springs! We will search the fields for a wide variety of raptors as well as such as wagtails, pipits and seedeaters. We will explore the Amud Reservoir and Safa Reservoir - the first rewilding nature sites in Israel – that attract waterfowl and shorebirds - ducks, herons, Pygmy cormorants, kingfishers and many more. We will also devote time to for resident species unique to the Valley of the Springs – Desert Finch, Dead Sea Sparrow, Namaqua Dove and more

12:00-12:30 - Arrival at Kfar Rupin and checkin to rooms

12:30 Introductions

13:00 - Departure in private cars for the first birdwatching tour, getting to know the area

18:30 - Dinner

20:00 - Night walk in the kibbutz

Monday 11/11/24

6:30 - Morning coffee and pastry

7:00 - Departure for a birdwatching tour in private cars

11:00 - Back to brunch and rest time

13:00 - Departure for afternoon birding tour

18:30 – Dinner

19:30 – Trip checklist and summary of the day.

7:00 - Departure for a birding tour

11:00 - Back for brunch

12:00- Check-out, Summary and farewell
