All the Colors of the Desert – Maktesh Gadol and its Surroundings.

A fun day trip with flat walks to some of the most beautiful corners of the Makhtesh Gadol area. We will start with an easy walk around part of the old city of Mamshit to a beautiful view of a canyon stream with dams that are about 2000 years old We will continue on an easy and beautiful section of Nahal Hatira to the green corner of Ein Yorkeam, where the winter rains (hopefully there will be) will create impressive pools. We will drive a little to the Makhtesh Gadol and go for a walk in a variety of colors in the wild landscapes of the desert, we will get to know the desert vegetation and the special rock and try to meet some of the desert birds, especially the Arabian Babblers. We will end with a drive to Mount Avnon, from where it is an easy walk to a wonderful view over the cliffs of the crater. In English.

Where: Bus departs from multiple pickup points at Jerusalem, Modiin Train Station and Latrun. Pickup details will be sent after registration.
