Hiking Israel's rocky beachs

We will explore three very different environments in very close proximity: we'll hike south and north along the beach and the cliffs above it, between Yakum and Shfayim. Whereas the waterline offers its challenges and advantages to wildlife, the cliff just above it is a completely different story.
Just nearby, soil that was all swamps not very long ago, has been turned into agricultural land, home for an entirely different ecosystem. Time permitting, we may get the chance to see a small leftover from the original swamps.

The Details:

Where: Bus departs from multiple pickup points in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Pickup details will be sent after registration.

When: May 7, 2024

Jerusalem - Pickup at 6:00 and drop off by 17:30
Tel Aviv – Pickup between 7:15 and 16:00
Pick up in Latrun possible on request

Cost: NIS 270 per person. A 10% discount is available for SPNI members.

Entrance fees at all sites

Bring a picnic with you for the day. We will stop at the end of the day at a café for cold drinks, coffee and food before heading home.

Difficulty level: We will be walking approximately 5 - 6 km. Moderate walking on beach
