Hiking the Negev - Following the Footsteps of the Nabateans

Our hike of the month will follow the steps of the Nabateans through some of the most beautiful landscape of the Negev.

Our Tour Includes:

We will start our day at Bor Havarim – "The Marl Rock Cistern", designed by the Nabateans – a mysterious people that roamed this desert more than 2000 years ago, leaving a strange combination of traces and stories.

We will hike down the valley towards Ein Avdat, one of the most important oasis in the area, an attraction for animals when the humans leave, and home for a variety of raptors. We will climb out of the oasis using ladders (it's a short climb) and hike through the "regular" desert, seeing desert vegetation, rock formations, animals and their hints.
