הכנס השנתי הבינלאומי של המכון למחקרי ביטחון לאומי (INSS) יתקיים זו השנה ה-17, ב-7 במרץ 2024, במוזיאון ארץ ישראל בתל אביב, ויעמוד השנה בסימן המלחמה.

מדינת ישראל נמצאת בתקופה הקשה והמורכבת ביותר שידעה מהקמתה, ביטחונית וחברתית - נקודת המפנה של טבח השבעה באוקטובר הציף חששות רבים ושאלות מהותיות לגבי האסטרטגיה הביטחונית לנוכח האיומים המתגברים בגבולותינו, והמלחמה הצפויה להימשך עוד חודשים רבים, על רקע השבר החברתי שקדם לאירועים, מזמנת אתגרים ביטחוניים, כלכליים וחברתיים רבים, הדורשים שיח אסטרטגי מעמיק.

כבכל שנה, יהווה הכנס נקודת מפגש של בכירים מהארץ ומהעולם, ביניהם שרים, חברי כנסת, ראשי מערכות הביטחון הישראליות, שגרירים ובכירים מהעולם, ובמסגרתו נציג פרספקטיבה אסטרטגית מעמיקה בנושאי הליבה הביטחוניים והחברתיים העומדים על סדר היום של מדינת ישראל, בתקופה קשה ומורכבת זו.

The INSS 17^th Annual International Conference will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv. This year the conference agenda will be shaped by Israel’s war with Hamas and other regional conflicts.

Many contend that the State of Israel is now weathering the most difficult and complex period it has known since its establishment, both on social and political levels. The massacre of October 7 by Hamas generated profound concerns and essential questions in Israel regarding security strategy in face of the growing threats and the war that is expected to continue for some time. These questions are compounded by their emergence in the immediate aftermath of the social protests that marked the previous nine months, and raised numerous security, economic, and social challenges, all of which demand serious examination and strategic debate.

As in previous years, the Annual Conference provides an opportunity for senior figures from Israel, including ministers and other government officials, Members of Knesset, heads of the security establishment, policymakers, strategists, and academics to meet with ambassadors, senior political and military officials, policymakers, and influential figures from abroad. Together they will discuss the leading issues on Israel’s national security agenda during this difficult and challenging period.
