Owls of the Dead Sea

The Dead Sea region is a great place to find special nocturnal animals, including rare nocturnal raptors such as the Egyptian Nightjar and Pallid Scops-Owl. We will look for them and perhaps other surprises on a special and fascinating night tour.

Meet at the Nahal Kalia parking lot on the left immediately after entering the settlement of Kalia.

Easy to moderate walking (1- 2 km), along some uneven paths with some short uphill and downhill sections

It is important to arrive with closed shoes, a small pocket flashlight to see where you are going, and bug-spray is recommended.

Appropriate for adults and teens over 13.
