Discover the beauty and wonder of the Ramon Crater in the Negev Desert!
Join us for a day exploring this extraordinary geological landscape—filled with breathtaking views, one-of-a-kind geological formations, and unique desert wildlife.

We’ll begin with a scenic walk along the crater rim, from the Ilan Ramon Visitor Center to Mount Gamel- an ideal vantage point for appreciating the vast landscape. Afterward, we’ll visit the Visitor Center to learn about the crater’s formation and Israel’s Space Program.
Following a pause for lunch, we’ll descend into the crater for a short hike to Mount Mansara, famous for its striking layered rocks. On our way home, we’ll also look for traces of ancient human activity on our way back.

Activity level: Moderate; mostly level dirt paths with some stairs and mild inclines. Each hike is 1–2 km.

Language: English.

Where: Bus departs from multiple pickup points at Jerusalem, Modiin Train Station and Latrun. Pickup details will be sent after registration.
