הצטרפו אלינו למופע Peter is Back – מפגש חי בין האמן אמיר יציב לבין הדמות הספרותית מסיפורו הנודע של פרנץ קפקא, דין וחשבון לאקדמיה (1917), הקמה לחיים ונגלית על גבי מסך. פיטר משוחח עם יציב על חייו כקוף־אדם (ape) לשעבר, על מסעו אל האנושות ועל רצונו להיחלץ ממנה. השניים מדברים גם על הרגלים מגונים ותחושות בטן, וכל זאת תוך חילופי שליטה מתעתעים בין במאי לשחקן, ובין תסריט מוכתב לשיחה חופשית המתווכת באמצעות AI.

כמו במופע דרכים משונה, אין לפרפורמר אלא דמיון פרוע ומעט האביזרים שהביא עמו, והוא מסתכן שוב ושוב באיבוד אמון הקהל, כשהוא – על חולשותיו האנושיות – חשוף לעיני כל.
שנה בדיוק לאחר הבכורה שלו במרכז לאמנות עכשווית, המופע – כמו הטכנולוגיה שעליה הוא נשען – השתכלל והתפתח. כעת הוא מוצג כחלק מדין וחשבון, תערוכת היחיד של אמיר יציב במרכז לאמנות עכשווית, שבה ניתן לראות את פיטר בגלריה, מעביר את הזמן ועורך חזרות בין המופעים.

Join us for Peter is Back – a live performance featuring artist Amir Yatziv and Peter, the literary character from Franz Kafka’s renowned 1917 story A Report to an Academy, brought to life and appearing on screen. Peter speaks with Yatziv about his life as a former ape, his journey toward humanity, and his desire to escape it.The two also discuss questionable habits and gut feelings, all amid a slippery dynamic of control between director and actor, and between a pre-planned script and a free-roaming conversation mediated by .AI

Like an eccentric road show, the performer relies on little more than his wild imagination and a handful of props he has brought along. He repeatedly risks losing the audience’s trust as he stands – human frailties and
.all – fully exposed

Exactly one year after its premiere at the Center for Contemporary Art Tel Aviv-Yafo, the performance, much like the technology it relies on, has evolved and matured. It is now presented as part of A Report, Yatziv’s solo exhibition at the Center, where visitors can encounter Peter in the gallery during opening hours, passing the time and rehearsing between performances
